The technical upgrade facilities are located in the Russian sector of the Caspian Sea bed, within the boundaries of the "Severny" (Northern) license area allocated to LUKOIL-Nizhnevolzhskneft LLC under a license for the search, exploration, and production of hydrocarbons.
