As part of its long-term partnership with LUKOIL Group companies, Volgogradnefteproekt LLC has been providing construction supervision and engineering support services for the construction of field development facilities at the D33 field, located in the Baltic Sea, for LUKOIL-Kaliningradmorneft LLC since 2021.

The field development infrastructure includes an offshore Conductor Block (BK-1) platform and linear facilities (multiphase/product pipelines, along-the-route high-voltage power lines, and an oil gathering point). The BK-1 platform consists of a Support Block (SB) and a Topside (TS), which are fully shop-fabricated, complete technical units.

Specialists from Volgogradnefteproekt LLC were directly involved in the entire lifecycle of the BK-1 platform, from the design stage (adjusting design documentation while shepherding it through state expert reviews, developing detailed design and operational documentation, creating a comprehensive 3D information model of the facility), through author's supervision and technical support during construction at the manufacturer's site (the construction yard of Clever LLC), to construction supervision and the final platform installation in the open sea. Furthermore, specialists from Volgogradnefteproekt LLC provide engineering support to the Client during offshore completion works, working directly on the BK-1 platform.

Thus, through joint efforts and despite imposed sanction restrictions, construction and installation works for the development of the D33 field were successfully completed in August 2025, and preparatory work for drilling production wells using the "Neva" jack-up drilling rig (JUDR) is now underway.
